Le Dernier Dimanche

[ Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire ]

And, my final photo dispatch from Abidjan. Please, don’t all scream at once…it’s hard to believe, I know, I know. And yet…

I think it is fitting to conclude once again with the congregation that meets upstairs from my room every Sunday. The last few weeks they’ve allowed me to take pictures at various points during their service, mostly afterwards. A big thank you to all the folks at Y-Sable Church of Christ!

I ran upstairs a few times today to capture a handful of farewell images. Well, I captured a couple hundred, but only had time to skim them and edit a handful. Even so, I hope you’ll forgive the rushed edits.

Let’s hope–with a bit of good fortune–that you’ll see NO MORE IMAGES FROM YOPOUGON-SABLE! Perhaps a few from my exit ride, but that’s it. Time to get some nature shots once more, and tiny dirt roads that threaten my sanity, and villages, and nights spent in a tent. Etc.

My best to each and all,

From Yopougon-Sable, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire
