Ken Doll. Killer Monkey

Old Manali ]

As usual, once the camera comes out, it stays out. The last few days we’ve had some remarkable weather, and I’ve been a-wanderin’.

Wandering or not, most of the images are from the center of Old Manali–right in front of my guest house. There a few from the wooded hills above the village, where locals are picking apples by the bushel (literally, in this case), and from the crossroads down by the Beas River. On my walk through the hills I had a repeat of three years ago, where a rather aggressive, large monkey decided I’d be better off dead (story in FB post images). Unlike last time, no cinder block was involved in the assault. :O

Mixed in with the places, you’ll find a few portraits of friends old and new. And one Ken Doll.

Never forget the Ken Doll.

Original Facebook micro-blog post is here, with per-image commentary.

Namaste, etc, etc.,
