[ Dakhla Bay, Western Sahara]
After Boujdour I had a few nice days on the road, getting to within spitting distance of Dakhla the day before Valentine’s Day. Along the way I spent a couple days hanging with other southbound cyclists—the first I’ve met since my departure; I found a unique Ghost Town Oasis with sulphuric hot springs and a room reserved for passing cyclists, and spent a great night camping down by Dakhla Bay with some wonderful Germans, making their way around Africa via Overlander. It was a nice change of pace to have some companionship, and without the persistent mechanical issues it was a relatively easy and uneventful final push.
