A-Tisket A-Tasket

[ Techiman, Ghana ]

Moving much slower than I planned into central Ghana and towards Lake Volta, but the experiences along the way have been great (unless we’re talking about money, but more on that in a later post).

I spent today in Techiman, prepping for about six days in the weeds and trying to play photo catch-up. Unfortunately for my to-do list, my room is just around the corner from a fascinating carpentry shop. The shop makes one thing, and one thing only—caskets—which means I spent my afternoon chatting with the owners and workers and taking yet MORE pics instead of editing my growing backlog.

The proprietors names are Sampson Kwame Yeboah, and his wife Rebecca Ofori Yeboah. Yes…Samuel and Rebecca, both delightful (but I’m sure you guessed that already).

Without further ado, because you’re obviously dying to see how the funereal sausage is made,

I present,
A-tisket, A-tasket,
A Holy Bible Casket (no joke. You’ll see),
